SBCC Theatre Arts Department will open the fall semester with a student showcase production of Sophie Treadwell’s drama MACHINAL, directed by Katie Laris in the Interim Theatre on SBCC’s West Campus.
Based on the sensational 1920’s Snyder/Gray murder trial, Machinal captures a young woman’s struggles to discover love and find freedom from the mechanical routine of her daily life.
Performances will be:
Thursday through Saturday @ 8pm, Sunday @ 2pm with Previews on October 20 & 21.
The Sunday, October 24, 2pm performance will be live-captioned for the hearing-impaired.
Ticket prices are $15 general, $12 seniors and SBCC staff and $8 students. Tickets are available at the Interim Theatre Box Office at 965-5935.
Box Office hours are Monday-Friday, 1-5pm. Parking is free and next to the theatre on the West Campus of Santa Barbara City College, 800 block of Cliff Dr.
