Caught! On Camera!

After attending an AIDS Benefit, Socialite Jim Sirianni tried to be sneaky as he made his exit from the event. However, in doing so, he allegedly hit and ran over two paparazzi, a mother pushing her small child in a stroller, an elderly couple, and a 2 month old golden retriever puppy. Sirianni could not be immediatly reached for comment. However he later blasted the victims on his Facebook, Twitter, blogger, myspace and Linkedin pages saying "Gawd-uh! those stupit little people made me spill my drink!

The Cocktail Hour! The Show I Directed This Fall!

The time is the early 1970’s, the ritual is the cocktail hour and the prodigal son has returned home to get his family’s approval about a play that he has written about them. Since it does not necessarily paint his proper family (and specifically his father) in a favorable light, they are cautious. As the martinis flow and the night drags on so do the recriminations and revelations both funny and poignant. Gurney, who penned Sylvia, has once again proven that the strength of love and family conquers all and we mustn’t take ourselves too seriously.

Dinner and the theatre are Friday and Saturday evenings beginning at 7:00pm for dinner and 8:00pm for the show. Sunday afternoon matinees are 1:00pm for lunch and 2:00pm for the show. They serve a scrumptious tri tip barbeque for both dinner and lunch that includes; tri tip or chicken, chili beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans with red roasted tomatoes, green salad with choice of dressing and dessert. The guest lodge offers a full bar for drink purchases. Lemonade, tea and coffee are served with the meal.

General admission tickets are $45.00 per person for dinner and the theater. Senior rates of $37.00 are available for Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons. Season tickets and group rates are available.

Ensemble Theatre Company of Santa Barbara kicks off their 2010-11 season with the West Coast premiere of Alan Brody’s touching and surprising new play, The Housewives of Mannheim. A memory play set in Brooklyn during the Second World War, Housewives had its world premiere last spring at the New Jersey Repertory Company, followed by a critically acclaimed New York off-Broadway run. The Westmont Theater Arts Department begins their fall season performing “The Servant of Two Masters,” a commedia dell’arte masterpiece. On Saturday, October 16 and Sunday, October 17, the Santa Barbara Symphony presents Beethoven’s majestic Symphony No. 9, a masterpiece of the classical repertoire, and the first symphonic work to incorporate voices. This concert will use over 150 voices from the Santa Barbara Choral Society, Westmont College Choir and Santa Barbara Quire of Voyces The opening weekend will mark the beginning of the fifth season in the tenure of Music and Artistic Director, Nir Kabaretti, who will conduct six of the seven concerts of the Symphony’s subscription season.

For the first time ever, our sister station KDB 93.7 FM will broadcast the Saturday concert, starting at 7:50 p.m., with the concert beginning at 8 p.m.  Tim Owens, Vice-President and General Mangaer, KDB and musician/scholar Ramon Araiza, who gives the Symphony’s popular “Music Behind the Music” pre-concert lectures, will host the live broadcast.

My Bio - Everything About Me in 100 Words or Less!

Jim Sirianni got his start in theatre by playing the role of Frosty the Snowman in the 2nd grade where he spoke his first line ever, “Let’s Run!”… And the rest as they say is history. 
Jim has a long relationship with Circle Bar B Dinner Theatre where he has been both a director and actor.  His directing credits include Jake's Women, Marriage is Murder, The Dinner Party, Key For Two, Don't Mention My Name, and A.R. Gurney's The Dining Room. He has been seen on the CBB stage in The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, Relative Values, The Murder Room, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, and Move Over Mrs. Markham. Jim has also been a member of the Seaside Theatre Company as an actor and director for many years. He was seen in Habeas Corpus and as Elwood P. Dowd in Harvey . Other Santa Barbara performances include Amadeus, Sweeney Todd, Pacific Overtures, Look Homeward Angel, and Cabaret for SBCC Theatre Group and 2 turns as Bottom the Weaver in productions of A Midsummer's Night Dream.
Jim produces and hosts Applause Radio; an entertainment talk show for News Talk 990 KTMS. Jim can be heard reading the news, traffic and weather for both KTMS 990 and Progressive Talk 1490.  Currently, Jim is directing the South Coast and Central Coast premiere of Frost/Nixon for DIJO Productions and Virtual Theatre Company which opens in July. He will also be directing Circle Bar B’s production of A.R. Gurney’s The Cocktail Hour, set to open in early fall.

Went to Costco yesterday and found this gun-shaped bottle filled with tequila... the funny thing is, they don't let you sample it at Costco! HUH! Isn't THAT funny? They let you sample OTHER drinks, smoothies, juice, cheese, corn chips, etc... but not ...... tequila? hmmmmmm ;-)
